Stop Dating Around!

Dating and relationships are two very different things.

Whilst you are dating, there is no real commitment, you have other priorities, maybe you are looking to see if something better may come along.

Whereas when you are in a relationship, your partner is your top priority, you’re committed, you are in it for the long term, your head doesn’t (shouldn’t!) turn for the next shiny thing that comes along.

Right now, you are probably thinking, ok, sure, I know this, everyone does….

So why is it that in a business environment companies are not investing in their relationships and are in dating mode?

Whether that is with their clients or their staff!?

It takes a lot of effort, time and money to date multiple clients. There is no Blue Peter badge, or award given out to those companies that have the most clients. And in fact, what you will end up finding is those clients that you are just ‘dating’, will feel unloved, unvalued, uncared for and will just break up with you anyway!

What you want to be doing is investing your effort and time in developing deep long lasting relationships with your clients that will organically create stability and growth opportunities.

The same applies to your staff. If you want to retain your staff, stop seeing them as an overhead that might leave at some point, but as a value member of the company that you want to see grow and succeed, whether they move on or not.

The biggest rewards come from the ones you commit to and invest in!
